{Day Two} Waiting For The King -25 Days of Advent

{Day Two}
Spread Christmas Cheer

A popular Christmas movie (“Elf”, New Line Cinema, 2003) says, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer, is singing loud for all to hear.” Even God’s special family anticipated Jesus’ arrival with songs in Isaiah 52:7-10

What a beautiful sight it is to see messengers coming with good news! How beautiful to see them coming down from the mountains with a message about peace! How wonderful it is when they bring the good news that we are saved! How wonderful when they say to Zion, “Your God rules!”

Listen! Those on guard duty are shouting out the message. With their own eyes they see the Lord returning to Zion. So they shout with joy. Burst into songs of joy together, you broken-down buildings in Jerusalem. The Lord has comforted his people. He has set Jerusalem free. The Lord will use the power of his holy arm to save his people. All of the nations will see him do it. Everyone from one end of the earth to the other will see it.

Fill your house with Christmas cheer by watching this video and singing together (as LOUD as you can).

For fun, make a family playlist of your favorite Christmas songs. You can write a list and sing them out loud or stream them for free in Spotify or Pandora. If you want to try out some good old-fashioned Christmas caroling, walk to a neighbors’ house and sing a song for them. Or just have a dance party at home!

If you have a favorite Christmas song, have your parent email it to me!! I will compile a Spotify playlist that we can ALL enjoy!!
