Coming to Caution this Summer…

Ladies, we are so pleased and excited to announce our musical guest for the 2015 Summer Caution…

Coming this summer, Sandra McCracken! We’re also giving away one digital copy of her newest album, Psalms. You can enter to win at the bottom of this post.

Sandra McCracken is a singer, songwriter and producer from Nashville, TN. Over the course of eight critically acclaimed studio albums, Sandra has developed a body of work that encompasses hook-driven melodic pop, No Depression-style Americana, contemporary recastings of classic hymns, and even children’s music as part of the Nashville alt-folk super-group Rain For Roots. Her music has been featured on ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy”; her 2013 solo record, Desire Like Dynamite charted as one of Billboard’s Top 50 Heatseekers; and in early 2015, she released a new album, Psalms, about which she writes:

These are sacred, borrowed words, with new melodies to help draw the longing and joy up out of our hearts and onto our lips, as we watch and wait to see his story come in it’s fullness.

We Will Feast, a song off her project Psalms, is one of our favorites. You can read more about the album here.

This song propels me forward, into the heart of the promises of God, giving a glimpse of the vision to see what God sees—the final resolution of all things. And it does this with a corporate point of view, inviting us to sing together as a people, to share one voice in loss and life together under the banner of God’s redeeming love.

We invite you, as we pause during the middle of our season, to join us in community with God and other women.  We want our hearts to be connected and refreshed by the truth of God’s Word.  We’ll eat dinner, worship, learn more about an upcoming opportunity to give back in our community, and hear stories of women who are learning to rest in God.

Our hope is that you would join us for this special evening to be refreshed and uplifted by the truth and beauty of Sandra’s songs and by the gift of gathering together with other ladies!

Enter to win Sandra’s album!

We hope you’ll love Sandra McCracken as much as we do! We pray you’ll worship with us on July 21!

Summer Caution Announcement

Each year at the Summer Caution, we are able to partner with one other non-profits to collect items that they use on a regular basis. All of the supplies given are used locally and even in other parts of the world.  In years past, we have worked with Samaritan’s Purse, Samaritan’s Feet, Rhythm Church, Bright Blessings and more! It is our joy to highlight the work of other worthy non-profits and partner with women in the community to bless the groups.

In 2015, we are working with Coltrane L.I.F.E. (Living Interest For the Elderly) Center in Concord. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for frail and impaired adults and their families through specialized adult daytime services. They have been providing quality daytime care to older and disabled adults since 1974. We are so excited to highlight the great work they are doing in our area. And we’ll have the opportunity to join Coltrane in service…more information on that later!

Our cause: The North Carolina Boy’s Academy-A Ministry of Teen Challenge

The NCBA is a therapeutic Christian boarding school for teenage boys struggling with life-controlling problems. The program is designed to help young boys, age 12-17, realize their potential and lay foundations to become courageous and God honoring men.

You can support these young men as they journey into manhood by giving from the heart. The biggest need right now is in the area of daily food supply. Cash, check, Wal-Mart or Sam’s Club gift card donation in any amount is the most effective way to meet the need.

Please visit our “MRO January Caution” events on facebook for more information and to stay connected.

Ring the Salvation Army Bell with Us!

Hello Friends,
We hope you are enjoying the off season so far!
We wanted to let you know that we’ll be manning the Salvation Army kettle on Wednesday, December 17 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.  We’d love to have you and/or your kids join us!  We may sing some Christmas carols or dance but we will definitely spread Christmas cheer!  If you need to do some shopping, drop the kids off with us!  We understand it’s such a busy time of year, but if you’re free, we’d love to see you and have the kids join us for any amount of time!  It’s a great opportunity for us to give back locally together.
We’ll be outside the Concord Mills Walmart (3905 Concord Parkway S) on the grocery side.  Let us know if you have any questions!
